Staff Reporter:Renowned educationist Professor Dr. Abul Kashem Mazumder has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Royal University. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, HBM Iqbal, finalized the appointment yesterday.
With over 34 years of teaching and research experience both domestically and internationally, Prof. Mazumder,ex Pro Vice Chancellor of BUP,previously affiliated with Jahangirnagar University, and serving on the Bangladesh Public Service Commission since 2014, brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor-Deans Forum (VC-DF) of Royal University in Dhaka organized an informal ceremony to welcome Professor Dr. Abul Kashem Mazumder. 
The presentation and reception are scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 am in the university’s library hall room. Dr. Md Abu Bakar Siddique (Dr Dipu Siddiqui), Vice President of the Royal University of Dhaka VC-DF Forum, will deliver a welcome speech at the event chaired by Dr. Jamil Ahmed, the VC in charge, and Registrar of the University. Speakers at the ceremony include Examination Controller Dr. Rafiq Ullah, Dean Saidur Rahman Khan, Proctor Malay Sarkar, and Chairman of the English Department Jahrat Ara.
