DHAKA, Royal University of Dhaka (RUD) organised a memorial meeting, Milad and special prayer session marking the death anniversary of late Alhaj AKM Zillur Rahman, father of Dr HBM Iqbal, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
The programme was held on the university campus on Friday following Jumu’ah prayers. Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Royal University of Dhaka, attended the event as the chief guest.
Among those present were Professor Dr Dipu Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences;chairperson of BBA Amena Akhtar; Md Mashiur Rahman, Acting Registrar; Proctor Aminul Ashraf ;along with faculty members, university officials and other distinguished guests. 
In their speeches, the participants paid tribute to the late Alhaj AKM Zillur Rahman, remembering him as a patriot, social worker and a person of strong human values. They respectfully highlighted his eventful life, contributions to society and commitment to humanitarian ideals.
Following the memorial meeting, a Milad and special Dua were held, seeking the eternal peace and forgiveness of the Almighty for the departed soul.
