Presswatch Report,DHAKA, June 23: A workshop titled “Role of Media on Psychological Trauma of Children” was held today at the National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) to address how media consumption impacts youth mental health and how journalists can report responsibly on child-related trauma.
The event was presided over by Mohammad Hirujjaman, NDC, Director General of NIMC. During his address, he emphasized the critical responsibility media houses bear in shaping the psychological well-being of the younger generation, urging professionals to adopt child-friendly reporting practices and minimize exposure to triggering content. Following the discussion, the Director General distributed certificates among the workshop participants.
