Kripanath Malah Elected to Lok Sabha, Promises Cross-Border Cultural Unity

Shri Kripanath Malah, a compassionate and esteemed public figure, has been elected as a Member of Parliament to India’s Lok Sabha from Karimganj. This significant victory has garnered widespread congratulations from various literary and cultural organizations in Bangladesh.

 

Kamrul Islam, the General Secretary of the Bangiya Sahitya-Sanskriti Samsad, extended his congratulations on behalf of the organization. The Shawkat Osman Memorial Council also felicitated Kripanath Malah.Eminent film director Jean-Nesar Osman, the youngest son of the eminent writer Shawkat Osman,Vice President of the Bangladesh Press Institute Journalism Alumni Association (PIBJAA)  Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, and executive committee member ARM Mamun also felicitated Kripanath Malah.

In a statement sent to the newspaper on Wednesday, May 6, Kamrul Islam highlighted that leaders who engage in philanthropic activities often achieve repeated success. He praised India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as true pioneers in this field. Their victories have set a remarkable precedent for global and regional peace, harmony, friendship, and unity. Kamrul Islam extended congratulations to the newly re-elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed hope that Kripanath Malah would significantly contribute to regional harmony and cultural development.

Earlier this year, at the invitation of the Bangiya Sahitya Sangskriti Samsad, Kripanath Malah attended the Amar Ekushey Book Fair organized by Bangla Academy in February. He participated in lighting the Vishwapradeep and prayed for world peace at the fair’s premises. Later, he visited the Ramana Kali temple and attended prayers there.

 

Kripanath Malah expressed his hope that Bengali activities would continue to foster peace and harmony between India and Bangladesh. He assured his full cooperation in supporting Bengali cultural activities in India, underscoring his commitment to strengthening the bond between the two nations.
