Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Royal University of Dhaka (RUD), paid a courtesy call on Additional Inspector General of Police(AIGP) Sardar Tamizuddin Ahmed on Sunday afternoon. The meeting took place at the office of the AIGP at 3:30 PM and continued for over 30 minutes.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in a constructive discussion on the current state of education, prevailing social issues, and the possibilities for future collaboration. The Additional IGP expressed a strong commitment to extend all possible support towards ensuring a safer and more conducive learning environment in the country.
He warmly appreciated the efforts of Royal University of Dhaka in providing affordable higher education to underprivileged and low-income students. He also conveyed his thanks to the university’s Board of Trustees for their visionary role in expanding access to education.
Expressing optimism about the university’s future, the Additional IGP said, “I believe Royal University of Dhaka will continue to introduce new academic departments and play a vital role in developing a skilled workforce to meet global demands.”
The Additional IGP, Sardar Tamizuddin Ahmed, BPM, expressed his optimism that under the leadership of a distinguished academician like Professor 
Dr. A.N.M. Meshkat Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of Royal University of Dhaka, the university would soon achieve its desired goals.
Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui invited him to visit the university’s permanent campus.The Additional IGP graciously accepted the invitation and extended his thanks to the Dean for his initiative.
