JANIPOP’S Seminar Reflects on Bangabandhu’s Political Philosophy, Emphasizes the Path to Progress

Presswatch report:In a virtual seminar held on June 10, 2023, the 678th session focused on the political philosophy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The seminar, organized by Janipop, was conducted on the Zoom Webinar platform, attracting prominent figures and intellectuals. The event aimed to commemorate the legacy of the Father of the Nation and explore the relevance of his political ideology in shaping the country’s future.

Presiding over the seminar, Janipop Founder Chairman Prof. Dr. Major Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, BNCCO, emphasized the importance of following the path laid by Bangabandhu. Dr. Kalimullah asserted that by adhering to the principles and vision of the great leader, Bangladesh would not go astray.

 

Among the esteemed guests was Abdus Sattar Dulal, UN disability rights Champion and Honorary Professor, who attended as the chief guest. Imam Hossain Majumder, executive member of the Information and Technology Subcommittee of Bangladesh Awami League, Arjina Khanam, President of Rangpur Mahila Awami League and Amatun Noor Shilpi, a distinguished personality, joined as guests of honor. Also present were Fatema Tuz Zohra, a PhD researcher from Nilphamari Jal Dhaka, and Ferdous Wahid Bappi, the National Volunteer of JANIPOP, who were invited as special guests.

 

The seminar featured Prashanta Kumar Sarker, a PhD researcher from Gopalganj University of Science and Technology, as the key discussant. Sarker shared insightful perspectives on Bangabandhu’s political philosophy and its relevance to contemporary challenges.

 

During his opening speech, Dr. Kalimullah paid homage to the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, expressing deep respect for his visionary leadership. He emphasized that by following the footsteps of Bangabandhu, the country could overcome obstacles and achieve progress.

 

Amatun Noor Shilpi, a respected personality in the seminar, declared that the true soldiers of Bangabandhu would persistently protect democracy until the end. Other speakers highlighted Bangabandhu’s fearlessness and unwavering commitment, emphasizing his political philosophy of uplifting the suffering people through economic empowerment. They urged the younger generation to embrace the ideals of Bangabandhu and lead Bangladesh towards a brighter future.

 

The seminar was conducted by Deepu Siddiqui, the Bangabandhu Commission and America’s Millennium TV Country Director, and also the Editor of Daily Presswatch. Among the attendees were PhD researchar Quazi ,Shafiul Basshar, an engineer working in Dhaka University, and Dr. Mahbubul Haque from Rajshahi.

 

The seminar concluded with a renewed sense of determination to uphold the principles and values cherished by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It served as a reminder that by following his political philosophy, Bangladesh can continue its journey towards progress and prosperity.
