solemnity. Various week-long programs are organized in Buddhist villages, communities, and monasteries in honor of the occasion.

In the interest of maintaining peace, order, and harmony during the festival, the delegation met with the Chief of Army Staff and extended an invitation for him to participate in the celebration. The Chief of Army Staff expressed his commitment to providing financial and security support for the observance of “Shubho Prabarana” and the “Kathin Chibor Daan” ceremony in both the plains and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Additionally, he personally assured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure security during these celebrations in the Hill Tracts. He also thanked the members of the delegation for their efforts.

The Bangladesh Army is working diligently to ensure the security of minority communities. Currently, as the Durga Puja festivities are ongoing, the army is deployed across districts nationwide, actively ensuring the safety of the Puja mandaps. The Bangladesh Army hopes that every Bangladeshi, regardless of religion, can celebrate their religious festivals in a joyful and peaceful environment.
