Brother, your words echo a profound sentiment,
Expressing the struggles and disillusionment we lament.
Though your voice may tremble with distress,
Your verses hold power, a cry for redress.
Inscribed upon the page, seeking solace and sage,
Your poetry captures the essence of an age.
Yet, it seems that empty showmanship prevails,
Replacing merit and sacrifice, as the true spirit pales.
Gone are the days of genuine passion and zest,
As ambitions cloud the ambulance’s song with unrest.
Even the prayers, tainted with the stains of greed,
Leave mosques empty, hearts in need.
We evade the path towards righteousness divine,
Hoping Punjabi prayers and empty piety will align.
A society draped in hollow words and false speech,
But when will humanity’s true essence breach?
Salam Farooq, dear poet, continue to write,
Dispel our fears, shed a much-needed light.
For within the depths of poetry’s sacred core,
Lies the purity we seek, as in days of yore.
মনের পশু করতে কতল
কুরবানির এই ঈদ,
তোমরা তবু ভাব দেখাতে
হারাম করো নিদ।
বিত্ত দেখাও দেখাও টাকা
সেটাই ভাবো সুখ,
বড় গরু না হলে যে
রয় না বুঝি মুখ।
মনের পশু মনেই থাকে
সঙ্গে বাড়ে পাপ,
রোজ হাশরে দেখা দেবে
এই পাপেরই শাপ।
ঈদুল আযহা ভাবো যদি
ভাব দেখানোর খেল,
খোদার দেওয়া পরীক্ষাতে
করবে তুমি ফেল।
