The ‘Julio Curie’ Peace Medal is one of the world’s prominent Peace Prizes, awarded to individuals who have played a leading role in opposing imperialism and fascism while striving for humanity and world peace. The World Peace Council has been presenting the ‘Julio Curie’ medal since 1950.
On May 23, the 50th anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman receiving the ‘Julio Curie’ Peace Medal, the first international achievement and honor of independent Bangladesh, is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. In continuation of this celebration, the Bangiya Sahitya Sanskariti Samsad is organizing an event called ‘Bangabandhu Bhavnay Vishwa Shanti, Rabindranath and Nazrul prosonga’ on June 14, 2023, at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The event, which includes discussions, music, and dance performances, aims to inaugurate a year-long program commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Julio Curie Medal awarded to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Bangiya Sahitya Sanskariti Samsad aims to showcase Bangabandhu’s Julio Curie Peace Medal achievement on the global stage through various forms of art and culture, thereby ensuring widespread publicity.
