Shadab Hasin Report,Dhaka, December :
All legal and policy-related barriers to government MPO (Monthly Pay Order) enlistment for B.Ed and M.Ed graduates of the Department of Education at Royal University of Dhaka have been officially withdrawn, bringing long-awaited relief to hundreds of students.

The development follows the publication of the “Policy Guidelines–2025” in the government gazette on December 4, signed by the Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Education. The new policy cancels earlier discriminatory provisions that had limited MPO access for graduates of private universities.
As a result, graduates of the B.Ed and M.Ed programmes of Royal University of Dhaka will now enjoy equal opportunities and benefits similar to those offered to public university graduates, including eligibility for MPO-based teaching positions.

The news was warmly welcomed across the university campus. Faculty members, students, and administrative officials extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, on this landmark achievement. They expressed strong optimism that under his dynamic leadership, the university would move swiftly toward achieving its academic and institutional goals.
Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Royal University of Dhaka, also conveyed his congratulations to all stakeholders and praised the patience and resilience of the affected students during the challenging period.
Meanwhile, the university’s Acting
Registrar, Md. Moshiur Rahman, congratulated the teachers and students of the Department of Education. He expressed hope that the newly published policy would remove all doubts and confusion among students. He also stated that students would now be able to enroll in the Department of Education at Royal University of Dhaka with full confidence and enjoy all legal facilities and opportunities.
Education stakeholders have described the policy shift as a positive step toward ensuring fairness and equal opportunity in the higher education and teacher recruitment system of the country.
