Staff reporter: A daylong alumni reunion, discussion session, and cultural festival was held on the campus of the Royal University of Dhaka, organized by the university’s Alumni Association.
Arfanul Hoque Nahid, Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Editor (Planning) of News & Current Affairs at Nagorik Television, attended the event as the chief guest.
The programme was presided over by Professor Dr. A.N.M. Meshquat Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of the Royal University of Dhaka. Alumni Association President Sonak Drabir and Joint General Secretary Hasib presented honorary crests to distinguished faculty members. Recipients included Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Director of IQAC; Aminul Ashraf, Chairperson of the Department of Hotel & Tourism Management; Murad Hasan, Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration; and several other faculty members.
The welcome address was delivered by Acting Registrar Md. Moshiur Rahman. Following the daylong discussions, a vibrant cultural programme featuring performances by students was held.
In the festive atmosphere of the reunion, students expressed their commitment to working for the welfare of the nation and society.
